A practice with one focus

Endodontist Nottingham exists to do one thing well: diagnose and treat conditions affecting the dental pulp and root canal system. Because we do not provide general dentistry, every appointment, every piece of equipment and every protocol is set up around endodontic diagnosis and treatment.

You can contact the practice directly to arrange an appointment. You remain a patient of your own general dental practice, which continues your routine care, and we work alongside your dentist rather than replacing them.

How we work

  • Diagnosis before treatment. We do not start a root canal until we are confident the tooth needs one and can be predictably preserved. Where a tooth has a poor prognosis, we say so.
  • Magnification for every case. Treatment is carried out under a dental operating microscope, which lets us find fine canals, remove old materials and work conservatively.
  • Modern disinfection and materials. Rubber dam isolation, ultrasonic activation of irrigants, electronic length measurement and modern sealing materials are used as standard.
  • Time to do it properly. Appointments are long enough to complete treatment without rushing.
  • Clear communication. You receive a written plan and fee before treatment; your dentist receives a report and radiographs afterwards.

Fees and payment

The fee depends on the tooth (front teeth have fewer canals than molars) and on the complexity of the case — a retreatment with a post to remove, for example, takes longer than a straightforward first-time root canal. You are given a written fee at your consultation, before any treatment is booked, and the fee does not change part-way through unless the plan changes with your agreement.

Working with your dentist

Root canal treatment is one part of saving a tooth; the final restoration is the other. After treatment we send your dentist a report with pre- and post-operative radiographs and a recommendation for the crown or filling, so the tooth is protected as soon as it is ready.

Getting in touch

Appointments are arranged by telephone — see the contact page. If you are in pain, please tell us when you call and we will do our best to see you promptly.
